How long have you been making art?
All my life. Professionally for about 20 years.
Where do you find inspiration?
Visual inspiration lately comes from commercial art and design but my work is usually about the human experience expressed visually.

Artistic accomplishments you’re proud of?
The hardest thing is to continue making art when it is not highly valued by society, so I am most proud of the fact that I am still making art.

Please describe your workspace or studio.
Small basement studio in downtown Eugene, not much but I am grateful for it.
What’s your favorite place to work away from your studio?
While camping.

Have to, self expression.
What are your tips for someone who wants to make art?
Just do it.
Is there a piece of art that’s had a lasting impact on you?
Whenever I see a figurative work by Philip Guston in person I am deeply moved.
How did you get connected with Moss Hollow Gallery?
John invited me.

What are the media you use in your work?
Acrylic and oil paint.
Is there something exciting that you’re working on currently?
Right now I am trying to get back into a groove after the holidays.
What can followers look for from you in the future?
I hope to be able to express more emotional authenticity.

Podcasts “I like your work” and “Jealous Curator” are my favs. Music something fast “X” “Black Keys” “The Clash”.

Coffee!!!
